Relaxing trip to Coorg(Photo blog)

Author:Nitin

After a gap of almost 6 months, a hectic/screwing 6 months of ma life , me and ma frens planned for some trip within karnataka, so we decided upon coorg, though this was my third time visit to coorg. I had already visited almost all the places in coorg, this time we had planned for a relaxing trip.

We started from Bangalore around 11:30 on friday nite reached around 5 on saturday morning, we had already booked a homestay Kalparakshu which was around 8 kms from Madikeri towards Virajpet. we had reached quite early, so we thought we will sleep for a while and then visit some places closeby.

We got up around 8 in the morning got ready by 10 and started towards abbey falls, here are some photos of abbey falls.

After Abbey well we decided to go to Talacauvery, The
Kaveri River originates as a spring over here , we reached there around 4 pm, visited that place and came back to the homestay.

we spent some quality time over there, we had already arranged for the campfire, we slept around 1 pm.

The next day, we got ready by 10am and we decided to skip Dubare forest and tibetian temple rather take this virajpet route so that we could cover two water falls Chelavara falls and Irupa falls.

Chelavara falls is one of the beautiful falls in south coorg where the crowd will be very less infact when we went over there were no tourists at all, so we spent some time over there and headed towards irupa falls. we reached Irupa around 4:30 pm. Irupa falls is also a beautiful place but it will be a bit crowded .

We left Irupa around 5:30pm took the Nagarhole National park Hunnsur route, while passing Nagarhole we could locate some animals like deer, Mongoose, wild cat and some Gaurs.

We reached bangalore around 11:30 pm. It was one of relaxing trips of my life.

Touching Love story

Touching Love Story

10th Grade:-
As I sat there in English class,
I stared at the girl next to me.
She was my so called 'best friend'.
I stared at her long, silky hair,
and wished she was mine.
But she didn't notice me like that,
and I knew it.
After class,
she walked up to me and asked me for
the notes she had missed the day before.
I handed them to her.She said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her, I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
11th grade:-
The phone rang. On the other end,
it was her. She was in tears,
mumbling on and on about how
her love had broke her heart.
She asked me to come over
because she didn't want to be alone, So I did.
As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her
soft eyes, wishing she was mine.
After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie,
and three bags of chips,
she decided to go home.
She looked at me, said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss
on the cheek..I want to tell her,
I want her to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Senior year:-
One fine day she walked to my locker.
"My date is sick" she said,
"hes not gonna go" well,
I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade,
we made a promise that
if neither of us had dates,
we would go together just as 'best friends'.
So we did.
That night, after everything was over,
I was standing at her front door step.
I stared at her as She smiled at me
and stared at me with her crystal eyes.
Then she said- "I had the best time, thanks!"
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
Graduation:-
A day passed, then a week, then a month.
Before I could blink, it was graduation day.
I watched as her perfect body
floated like an angel
up on stage to get her diploma.
I wanted her to be mine-but
she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it.
Before everyone went home,
she came to me in her smock and hat,
and cried as I hugged her.
Then she lifted her head from my shoulder
and said- 'you're my best friend,
thanks' and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
Marriage:-
Now I sit in the pews of the church.
That girl is getting married now.
and drive off to her new life,
married to another man.
I wanted her to be mine,
but she didn't see me like that,
and I knew it.
But before she drove away,
she came to me and said 'you came !'.
She said 'thanks' and kissed me on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
Death:-
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin
of a girl who used to be my 'best friend'.
At the service, they read a diary entry
she had wrote in her high school years.
This is what it read:
'I stare at him wishing he was mine,
but he doesn't notice me like that,
and I know it.
I want to tell him,
I want him to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love him but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
I wish he would tell me he loved me !
.........'I wish I did too...'

I thought to my self, and I cried.

This is one of my trip in which we had no plans to go to kabini. First we had planned to go to Madikere which i was not interested then we decided to mudigere which was my friends place which some of my friends were not interested. Then i suggested them a place "Kabini" which I was planning to go there from past one month, one of my friend shivanand stayed in kabini, so we went there. We left around 7pm from bangalore, we had our dinner at srirangapatna we reached around 1 AM in the night(morning) where my friend was waiting for us . we spoke for an hour and as we were tired and had to get up early in the morning, we took a big leap to bed.

We got up early the next day and got ready by 6 where my friend was waiting and we boarded the safari. We were unfortunate to find any wild animals but for some rare species of birds and some wild boars, many deers and only the best part was the bear hiding under the bushes watching our moment.we returned back to my friend's room after the unlucky safari.

Then my friend took us to the boat safari where we located few wild elephant which had come to drink water and few rare species of birds.

After our lunch we returned back to bangalore. We were hardly there for 12 hours but this was one of the greatest trip i had ever been.

Trip To Yana

Benched, blogging, Trekking (Photo Blog):

Author:Gayathri

Well im benched for quiet sometime now, I thought of trying my hand at blogging a while back but just restrained to reading blogs ..

I went on a trek with a bunch of friends and I thought why not pen down the experience.. I thought I found a topic for my first blog.

Well we never had any plans of trekking or even going out for that matter.

One of my friend was going to his native Ankola which is about 60km prior to Karwar .. It was a out of the blue plan and 5 of just thought why not go to his native. We packed our bags on 8th nov , satuday and took the earliest train to Hubli .We took the train at 6 am and reached Hubli at 1:30pm ,

These were a few shots taken on the fly. There were beautiful Sunflower fields on the way from Tumkur onwards…

After our lunch, we took an auto to a nearby city bus station. The auto was moving at a rate that a 2 year old could run. After a slow and boring journey to the bus station we learnt that we had missed the bus by just 10mins and the next bus was scheduled only after 30 mins , Finally we boarded a bus to Ankola from Hubli . Ankola is about 5 hours away from Hubli , The bus we were traveling in was packed , but after an hour or so the bus was almost empty. We played cards and had a gala of time .

when we reached Ankola it was quiet late , we took another local bus to a small town that was about 20 mins away from Ankola city and that’s were my friends folks stayed . It was dark and deserted.. We reached his home around 10pm, got fresh and went out for a walk, that when I realized what a luck guy he is . Just meters away from his backyard was the river Gangavali, an island was formed too.

Next day morning at 8am after our break fast this was the site waiting for us.. It was serene.. :

After a bit of debating on the plan of action (actually we dint have a plan).. We decided to trek to Yana. Yana was about 60km from here, so we went by my friends car to a village Masthihalla ,

Yana is 15 km away from this Masthihalla . it was a great experience for a first time trekker like me. We enjoyed the trek , nevertheless it was too exhausting .

The trekking path :

This spot was extraordinarily beautiful , the bright pink flowers had fallen off the tree and made a Pink carpet sort path on our way..

By now we were really tired, we were just 5km away from Yana.. Well my two friends tried to do a Jab we met but errrr…

This is Yana :

There is a temple just below the huge rock formations. The guy in the temple gave us a jist about the formation of this huge rock. After which we were asked to go bare foot into a cake formed inside the rock :

Our car was waiting for us at Yana . After all the sight seeing. We were returning to Ankola to board a bus back to Bangalore. That’s when we saw a cheetah. It was crossing the road so leisurely. it was just 20 feet away from us . We were so elated to see a cheetah. In the jungles of Yana there are apparently all animals except for lion and elephants (That’s the information we got from the locals there)… Unfortunately we couldn’t capture the cheetah on camera.
